JOSEPH V. MAUCH

Mr. Mauch joined the Firm in 2007 as an associate in the Litigation Department. He has experience in a number of areas of business litigation, including intellectual property litigation, securities litigation, and contract dispute litigation. His practice also focuses on counseling clients in a variety of industries in intellectual property law, including trademark counseling, prosecution, and brand protection, and copyright counseling, registration, and enforcement. He has worked with clients ranging from large public companies to small start-ups to individuals.

PROFESSIONAL ACTIVITIES

Mr. Mauch is a member of the Bar Association of San Francisco, and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers. He is admitted to practice in all state courts in California, as well as the Northern District of California and the Ninth Circuit.

EDUCATION

Mr. Mauch received his B.A. in English from Santa Clara University and his M.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his J.D., cum laude, from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law, in 2007. While at Hastings, Mr. Mauch was a member of the Thurston Society; served as an extern to the Honorable John E. Munter, San Francisco Superior Court; and received the Witkin award and CALI award for excellence in Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, and Islamic Law. Prior to law school, Mr. Mauch taught writing and literature at the secondary and collegiate level.
