CRISTINA N. RUBKE
Cristina Rubke is of counsel to the Firm within the Litigation Department. Ms. Rubke’s principal areas of practice are business litigation and trademark prosecution.
PROFESSIONAL AND COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES
Actively involved with diversity initiatives within the legal profession, Ms. Rubke serves on the California State Bar’s Counsel on Access and Fairness, which acts as the State Bar’s “diversity think tank” and advises the Board of Governors on advancing State Bar diversity strategies and goals. Ms. Rubke is also the Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Disability Rights Committee. Ms. Rubke has been a delegate to the annual Conference of California Bar Associations since 2007 and was the 2010 Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco delegation. Outside of the legal community, Ms. Rubke is an avid sailor who serves on the America’s Cup Organizing Committee and on the board of the Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors. Ms. Rubke also serves via mayoral appointment as a member of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which oversees public transportation, traffic and parking in San Francisco.
Cristina Rubke graduated from University of California at Berkeley in 2001 with a degree in English and received her law degree from Santa Clara University in 2004. Ms. Rubke received the 2004 Dean’s Special Achievement Award and the Witkin Award for Legal Research and Writing. During law school, she worked on open source licensing at a software company in Mountain View and at the Electronic Frontier Foundation on civil rights issues.
