CRISTINA N. RUBKE
Cristina Rubke is of counsel to the Firm within the Litigation Department. Ms. Rubke’s principal areas of practice are trademark prosecution and business litigation. Ms. Rubke focuses on domestic and international trademark prosecution and counseling, including trademark availability, international protection, and the prosecution of U.S. trademark applications.
Actively involved with diversity initiatives within the legal profession, Ms. Rubke serves on the California State Bar’s Council on Access and Fairness, which advises the State Bar Board of Trustees on advancing the State Bar’s diversity strategies and goals. Ms. Rubke is also the Co-Chair of the Bar Association of San Francisco’s Disability Rights Committee. Ms. Rubke also serves via mayoral appointment as a member of the Board of Directors of the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency, which oversees public transportation, traffic and parking in San Francisco. Outside of the legal community, Ms. Rubke is an avid sailor who served on the America’s Cup Organizing Committee for the 34th America’s Cup and currently serves on the boards of the Bay Area Association of Disabled Sailors and South Beach Yacht Club.
Cristina Rubke graduated from University of California at Berkeley in 2001 with a degree in English and received her law degree from Santa Clara University in 2004. Ms. Rubke received the 2004 Dean’s Special Achievement Award and the Witkin Award for Legal Research and Writing. During law school, she worked on open source licensing at a software company in Mountain View and at the Electronic Frontier Foundation on civil rights issues.
