Shartsis Friese proudly supports the good work of SEO, which held its 2026 SEO Scholars San Francisco Achievement Benefit event on October 8. SEO was founded in 1963 during the Civil Rights Movement and currently closes educational and career opportunity gaps for 7,000+ ambitious young people annually. SEO has been an innovator in education, mentorship, peer-to-peer support, high standards, and networks to turn untapped potential into newfound greatness. As a “Merit” sponsor of this year’s event, we joined a community of like-minded entities to help transform the lives of low-income students in our community.
Representing the firm at this year’s event were (pictured, left to right): corporate associate Cat Zakaluk, corporate partner Segio Broholm, tax partner Noah Metz, and corporate associate Kate Ekpenyong
