Florence Jao is a member of the Family Wealth Planning Department where she represents individual clients in the areas of estate planning, estate and trust administration, estate and gift taxation, charitable gift planning, and probate. Ms. Jao’s practice also encompasses the formation of non-profit organizations, family limited partnerships, limited liability companies, and co-tenancy arrangements.
Ms. Jao received her J.D., cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center in 2003. While at Georgetown, she served as a Law Fellow for the Legal Research and Writing Department. In 2000, Ms. Jao received her B.A., magna cum laude, in Law, Jurisprudence and Social Thought from Amherst College. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Jao was an associate in the Estate Planning and Personal Representation practice group at Cooley LLP.
