Shartsis Friese is seeking an associate attorney with at least two years (and no more than 5 years) of solid corporate transactional, M&A, and securities law experience for a partnership track position in our Corporate Group.

The Corporate Group has an active practice covering a wide variety of corporate transactional and counseling matters including a substantial mergers and acquisitions practice, advising emerging growth companies, forming private investment funds, securities law counseling, intellectual property transactional matters, corporate governance, and general corporate and commercial counseling.

The anticipated annual base salary wage range the Firm reasonably expects to pay candidates for this position is $230,000 to $310,000. The final annual base salary wage offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and years of experience, education, and other factors.

Shartsis Friese LLP is seeking an associate attorney with 3 to 5 years of meaningful experience in civil litigation to work in our Litigation Department. The attorney will work on a variety of substantive litigation matters (complex litigation, corporate and partnership disputes over ownership and fiduciary duties, contract disputes, intellectual property disputes, etc.).  Meaningful litigation experience includes drafting pleadings/motions, drafting and responding to written discovery, and managing deadlines and case schedules.  Experience with depositions, arguing motions, pre-trial preparation, trials, and arbitrations is a plus. Successful candidates will have demonstrably superior legal research and writing skills.

  • Our associate billable hours target (including pro-bono time and certain administrative time) is 1,850 hours. Significant bonuses are given to associates who bill 1,950 hours or more.
  • At times, the firm hires lawyers with more than 10 years of experience into salaried counsel positions. Hours requirements for counsel attorneys are set on an individual basis.
