Known for his ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into sound business-forward strategies, Neil Koren helps investment advisers navigate today’s market complexities.

For more than 25 years, Neil has been representing managers of hedge funds, private equity funds, real estate funds, venture capital funds, crossover funds, and evergreen funds and separate account managers. He represents private fund managers on formation, structuring, organization, compensation, operations, seed capital and joint venture arrangements and restructurings, among other types of matters related to their funds and management companies. Neil also represents investment advisers in their separately managed account businesses.

Neil brings a special perspective shaped by both deep legal expertise and firsthand market experience. Having worked closely with investment professionals across multiple market cycles, he understands the commercial realities driving fund performance and investor expectations, allowing him to provide legal advice that is as strategic as it is precise.

A firm believer in aligning legal counsel with business objectives, Neil operates not just as a lawyer, but as a trusted business advisor. He routinely partners with fund managers and founders on strategic planning, capital formation, succession, and M&A activity, bringing a holistic approach to client service.

Neil has built a reputation for structuring innovative fund vehicles, advising on regulatory compliance, and guiding clients through fund launches, seed investments, secondary transactions, and GP/LP negotiations. He frequently counsels firms on SEC, CFTC, and FINRA matters.

Neil has served as the firm’s managing partner since 2023.
