After acquisition, we assist our clients in transactions relating to raising equity for the development. These transactions include working with attorneys in our Investment Advisory department to prepare documents for private placements raising capital from multiple investors or joint ventures with a single institutional source of equity for the project.
With extensive experience representing both private developers and public entities in public-private development projects, we frequently negotiate disposition and development agreements and long-term ground leases.
Our land use attorneys assist clients in obtaining approvals for the project. We also assist our clients in negotiating contracts with architects, engineers and contractors, and once the project is ready to break ground, we assist them in negotiating the construction loan.
